Recently, I have met 3 men. They were not mine to have nor could they have been had. I was attracted to two of them. I was disgusted by one of them.
The first, a former neurologist, now battling with Parkinson disease.
He could hardly walk. He was severely incontinent. Yet he maintained his sharp mind and brilliant sense of humor. He didn’t want nor need my pity. In fact, he relished unleashing his self decapitating sense of humor. In a certain light I could have seen myself falling for this so very charming man. I believe his wife sensed this, for she very swiftly got up from her chair and came and gave him a territorial hug and kiss.
As I said, he wasn’t mine to have. Perhaps in a different lifetime.
